When ordering a product from the Biante website we ask that customers please note the following:

A product listed as In Stock on our website is currently available to purchase online and will be shipped on the following business day with an ETA to your door of approximately 3 - 8 business days for deliveries inside Australia.

A product listed as a Pre-Order is a product that is coming in the future and can be purchased before it arrives so you don’t miss it. Pre-Orders receive priority shipping as soon as they arrive in our warehouse. Each product listed as a Pre-Order should have an estimated time of arrival in the “About This Product” section for your reference.

Products listed as In Stock and Pre-Order can be purchased at the same time in the one transaction but will be shipped seperately.

There are numerous benefits for Collectors Club members. Members receive an automatic 10% discount on all products purchased, a great way to save. Your preferred payment and shipping details are saved on checkout for hassle free transactions, you can opt in to receive our weekly email newsletters so you’re the first to know what is happening at Biante and you will also be eligible to receive special offers or products when they become available.
How do I register for membership?
Click on the Red Collectors Club Login button in the top right hand corner of this page. A pop up login window will appear with an option to create a new account. Click on this and you will be taken to a page to fill out the necessary information required to become a member.
Do I have to pay for membership?
No, joining the Biante Collectors Club is free.
Do I have to be logged in for my membership and discounts to apply?
Yes, you must be logged into your account with our website for any discounts and other member benefits to apply.
If I made a purchase, but I wasn't logged in, can I still received the discount?
No, unfortunately we are unable to credit the 10% Collectors Club Discount once your transaction has been processed. Please ensure you are logged in before making payment.
Is my personal information secure?
Yes, we respect your right to privacy. All your personal information is collected and stored for shipping and accounts purposes only. All information collected by Biante Model Cars is for our use and will not be supplied to third parties. If you change your e-mail address (or any of your personal details for that matter), go into the Club page and update your details immediately, or we will not be able to reach you.
Does the watch list still exist?
No, we have removed the old watch list system of the old Collectors Club with the new website redesign and have replaced it with our new pre-ordering system. Now you can place pre-orders directly with us.
How do I keep up to date with news and model releases?
Part of your membership allows you to opt in to receive our weekly newsletter which is emailed directly to your inbox. This newsletter contains the new releases for the website for the week and any new products, pre-orders, news or special offers that you might be interested in.
What if I’m not receiving the weekly newsletters?
There could be a number of reasons for this, some common reasons are: 1. You have opted out of receiving it. This can be changed within your account settings. (See the next FAQ below) 2. Your inbox is over quota and needs to be emptied. 3. You have changed email address and not amended your membership details at the club section 'change my details' 4. You may have forgotten to pay your service provider.
How do I change my newsletter subscription settings?
1. Log into your Collectors Club Account with your username and password. 2. View your profile which will have your personal details listed. Click the green Edit button in the left corner underneath the username title of the page. This should direct you to a page where you can edit your information, change your passwords etc. 3. If you would like to subscribe to our email newsletters make sure the subscribe box at the bottom of the page on the left is ticked. Alternatively, If you don’t want to receive our newsletters, ensure this box isn’t ticked. 4. Save the changes and you're done.
As a member, can I Pre-Order models?
Yes. Both members and non-members can pre-order products from us online now as long as it is listed as such. The only difference is, as a member your 10% discount will be applied to the transaction on checkout.
Can multiple members of the same family be members?
Of course. The best way to do this is for each family member to have a separate email address and account.
Do I have any obligations if I join the Collectors Club?
Financially, no, as membership is free, except the merchandise itself. The onus is on members themselves to keep their details - like email address, home address, and delivery address - up to date at all times. This can be done in your account by following the instructions within your account settings.
What if I have forgotten my password?
Click on the Red Collectors Club Login button in the top right hand corner of this page. A pop up login window will appear with an option to request a new password. Click on this and you will be sent an email from us. In this email there will be a one-off temporarily link for you to click on and reset your password.
Can I get free shipping if I'm a member?
If you're an Australian resident and your order value is over $150.00 then you will receive free basic shipping.

Product Information

What models do Biante Model Cars produce?
Biante Model Cars produce our own range of Australian model cars in 1:18, 1:43 and 1:64 scale in both road and race formats. All models listed as a Biante model car are researched and developed by us in Australia and produced with one of the numerous factories we use in China.
Who are the other brands?
We’re also the exclusive Australian distributor for other major model brands such as Autoart, Kyosho, Sun Star Models, Vitesse and Quartzo. These brands aren’t owned or operated by Biante Model Cars, they are separate entities who produce their own content to their own delivery schedules.
How come some models listed as Biante arrive in Autoart boxes?
While we import and distribute Autoart models, they’re also one of the major manufacturers we use to produce some of our classic Australian road and race cars. The research and development is all done in Australia by Biante for these models and they are exclusively produced by Autoart for the Australian market.
Why are your models produced in Limited Edition quantities
There are multiple reasons why we produce our model cars in limited edition numbers. The main reason is to produce a special product for the collector market. One of the other primary reasons is because the production process for model cars is a very in depth, hands on and expensive process so the models need to be produced in one-off production runs to be financially viable.
What is the difference between Diecast and Resin?
In recent times there has been a more common emergence of resin model cars in the Australian market and there are pros and cons for the use of both materials. Diecast models are a metal alloy and generally feature opening parts and are a more sturdy model. Resin models are a type of plastic and are generally closed bodies but with higher levels of exterior detail. To produce a resin model requires less investment in tooling compared to a diecast mould, therefore making a larger range of model possibilities viable to produce. However, a diecast mould will last far longer than a resin mould in terms of production capabilities. As of 2014 Biante are committed to continue producing diecast in 1:18 Scale as this is our preferred method and we believe it is what the Australian market prefers. We have started producing some models in 1:43 Scale in resin and so far the feedback for that range has been positive. It is an individual preference at the end of the day as to which style a collector prefers but the emergence of Resin model cars in the Australian market will continue to grow due to the flexibility and lower production costs associated with it.
Will you remake models that have been previously been produced?
Generally speaking no. We will not remake the same model in the same scale or level of detail as has been previously released before by Biante.
How long does it take to produce a model car from concept to completion?
It depends on the scale of the model and the age of the car being replicated, a new model project can take anywhere between 6-24months depending on numerous factors. To find out more, check out the About Us section of this website and click on the “Making Models” section.
If my models are to be an investment, how are they best maintained?
Keep all packaging in perfect condition, any original advertising material and of course keep the model complete with its original parts, dust free and preferably in a locked glass fronted display cabinet. For people who live in sunny climates, ensure that not too much daylight falls onto your cabinet or you will experience fading on one side of your model. Of course you do not let little folk play with your models in the sandpit or anywhere else. They are not children's toys.
How can I be sure that a limited edition model is in fact limited?
The model will itself be numbered or it will come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Other than that there is no other way of knowing for sure. All 1:18 Scale Biante models include a Certificate of Authenticity and our 1:43 Scale models either have a production number printed on the base plate or a Certificate of Authenticity is included.
Do you take requests?
We’re often sent requests to produce a wide and varied range of models through our support, dealer and social networks. Generally we have a working plan of 12-24 months in advance as to what models we will produce but some requests - if they’re determined to be viable will certainly be considered.
Can you produce a custom, one-off models of my own car?
No, unfortunately we can’t. This is primarily because the costs of producing a model car are very high and to produce a one-off simply isn’t viable.
How come you haven’t produced models of certain of cars?
There are a number of reasons why we haven’t produced certain model cars. Generally all of the necessary licensing and legal requirements need to be signed off so there may be issues surrounding that which prevents us from producing a particular model. Some cases might be that we simply haven’t gotten around to it yet, it could be planned for the future or it simply wouldn’t be cost effective to produce a certain model. Another reason might be that we can only produce so many models a year without causing damage to the market through over supply, we have to be careful with how much we release each year. How do I become an Authorised Biante Dealer?
We welcome any enquires for new Biante stockists. Please read the information and use the contact form provided in the "Stockists" section of this website to start an application process.
How big are your model cars / what does “1:18” etc mean?
Traditionally Biante only produce 1:18, 1:43 and 1:64 Scale model cars although we do carry a variety of scales produced by a range of different manufacturers. The lower the scale number is then the larger the model will be, so a real car would be described as 1:1 Scale, a 1:18 Scale would be 18 times smaller in dimension to that. A 1:43 Scale model would be 43 times smaller in scale to the real version and so on. As a rough guide here are some measurements of previously produced models: 1:18 - Biante's Ford BA Falcon XR8 : 25cm long x 11cm wide x 7cm high. 1:43 - Biante's Holden V2 Monaro CV8 : 11cm long x 3.5cm wide x 3cm high. 1:64 - Biante's Holden VU SS ute : 7.5cm long x 2.5cm wide x 1.5cm high.
Are Biante Model Cars Licensed?
Yes, in most cases where possible, Biante Model Cars produces models with licenses approved by the car manufacturer and in some instances, the racing category where applicable.
Can I get spare parts for a model if it is damaged?
Generally speaking, no. When models are shipped to us from the factory they are shipped in complete units. Biante models are made up of around 200 parts for detailed 1:18 scale. These parts are cast in groups on a 'sprue' which is a connecting piece holding all the cast parts together. There are sprues for each individual material used, i.e. white metal, plastic in black plastic and clear plastic. There is usually a short period of several weeks where some spare parts (and packaging boxes) will be retained by the factory to rectify any models damaged in transit. After this period, the spare sprues will be recycled into parts for upcoming models and no further parts will be available unless or until another production run eventuates.
Can I get a replacement Certificate of Authenticity?
We’re unable to offer replacement Certificates for a number of reasons, primarily it’s to protect the integrity of our products. All Certificates should be handled with care and stored in a dry, safe place.
Do products advertised as wrecks or damaged items come with a Certificate of Authenticity?
No. Biante-branded items that we allocate to discounted sale in the website WRECKS category do not feature the usual complementary Certificate of Authenticity or information brochure/flyer. This is because the item is in some way damaged and not to the standard that we would normally sell our brand of diecast model cars.
Does Biante produce any catalogues of their products?
No, our website is the primary resource of information for Biante products. We have produced an Annual Model Guide and Catalogue releases on CD Roms in the past but no longer have the resources to produce these items.
If I start collecting now, how can I get the models produced years ago?
You can check out the smaller shops that may have stock left over, or go to the larger recognised collector shops where you can often find historical issue model cars - these latter shops often have their own websites retailing both past and present issue model car stock. Ebay is another popular resource. More traditional sources for model cars can be found at various suburban swap meets or dedicated toy fairs, not to mention the "For Sale" columns in newspapers, trading magazines and the like.
Why aren’t all teams in a particular racing series modelled by the one manufacturer?
There can be numerous reasons for this. First up, the actual racing teams must grant licences to the model manufacturers. This can also be in addition to the racing category and the car manufacturer. Sometime teams may ask more in royalties than a model manufacturer may consider worthwhile. From another perspective, some teams are obviously more popular than others. Some model manufacturers may be satisfied to produce small quantity editions of a particular model, whereas other diecast model companies may only be attracted to the 'bigger' teams. Yet another angle may relate to the origins of teams, drivers and model manufacturers. For example, one manufacturer may be German based, so their preference for product may align more toward German drivers and/or cars and these could be the types of models that they most want to make.
Why don’t you produce models of all the cars in the V8 Supercars Championship?
Primarily due to the reasons stated above. We have to secure the contracts and licenses with individual teams to produce models of their cars. Some we have contracts to produce some cars and some we don’t due to a number of different reasons.
What teams do you currently produce models for in the V8 Supercars Championship?
Search for V8 Supercars in the shopping section of this website and you will be able to see which teams we produce models for.
Why are the new Car of the Future V8 Supercar models in 1:18 Scale cheaper than other 1:18 Scale models produced by Biante?
When the Car of the Future was announced as the new technical standard for V8 Supercars, this presented us with an opportunity to develop new models and try to reduce their price to make the product more attractive to fans and collectors. Our 1:18 V8 Supercar models are still produced in diecast with opening parts other than the boot. We have reduced the price by sealing the boot and lowering some of the more expensive levels of detail seen on other model cars.
How often is a particular competition or racing car made?
For each model manufacturer, the established practise is for only one production run of a particular car/driver combination per year. In modern times however with special events and liveries, this potentially can be increased. There are also some circumstances whereby the same car is sometimes replicated in model form by more than one diecast manufacturer. Generally though, most competition cars are one-offs and that is why you need to buy your favourite model car as soon as you see it made available.
Are only current competition and racing cars produced?
It depends on the model manufacturer but generally both older and modern racing cars are produced. Biante Model Cars produces a range of classic Australian Touring Car models and current V8 Supercars.
Why do some competition models not have all the sponsors decorations like the real car?
Discrepancies are mainly due to tobacco and/or alcohol government legislation. In a majority of western countries it is now illegal to display tobacco advertising, including company or brand logos. It doesn't matter as to whether tobacco advertising was legal in the time of the relevant race car - model manufacturers have to abide by the current day rules. Also, there are countries that restrict alcohol advertising, so some models do not show these areas of decoration either. Other livery deletions may be due to conflicts between team sponsors and race event sponsors.
Does Biante only produce model cars?
No, Biante produces other collecting and motorsport related products and it is an area we hope to continue to grow in the future. 1:10 Scale display bonnets and our limited edition prints are two new product ranges which have proven to be popular.
How often do you produce the Masters of the Mountain prints?
Our Masters of the Mountain print range are produced in house and take some time for each one to be designed and produced. We’re aiming to produce between 2-3 editions per year.


What is a Pre-Order?
Because our models and some other products are produced in limited edition numbers, by placing a pre-order you ensure that you don’t miss out on the product when it is released, and we produce the correct quantities. Once these items sell out, generally they will never be available again.
What are the advantages of Pre-Ordering?
There are numerous advantages of placing a pre-order online with Biante. The first is that you have paid for your model in full so you don’t need to worry about finding money for it if it arrives unexpectedly and you don’t need to worry about missing out on it when it is released. Other advantages are that pre-orders are the first models that we ship when they arrive so you will be the first person to receive that product before anyone else and if you’re purchasing a model then Pre-Orders receive the lowest Certificate of Authenticity numbers first.
How do I make a Pre-Order?
The product you’re looking at needs to be listed as available to pre-order. If it is then you simply proceed as though you are making a normal transaction. Your credit card will be debited on approval of your pre-order at the checkout and that product is now secured for you and will be shipped as soon as it arrives in our warehouse.
When will I receive my Pre-Order?
Each product varies on the length of time it will take to arrive in our warehouse and then delivered to you given there are many factors involved that can affect delivery times. Model cars will have longer delivery times because they are hand assembled. In some cases Pre-Orders can take up to 6-12 months to deliver due to circumstances outside of our control. All products listed as Pre-Order should include a fairly accurate delivery estimate and you will be notified should that estimate change significantly.
What if a product is cancelled and I have pre-ordered it?
Generally we will only make a product available to pre-order if we’re reasonably certain that it will definitely be produced and delivered. However in the unlikely event that a model is cancelled and we have pre-orders in our system for that product, you will be notified as to why it was cancelled and a full refund will be provided.
Can I get an update for a product I have on Pre-Order?
We will generally provide updates for products that are on pre-order via our news so you can check progress there. Alternatively you can send an email to with your name and order number and we will endeavour to answer any questions you may have as soon as we possibly can.
Can I pay for a Pre-Order in instalments?
Unfortunately our system isn’t designed to handle payments made in instalments for products. All pre-orders need to be paid in full at the time of the transaction.
Can I request a certain Certificate or Edition number if the product is a limited edition?
We can’t process individual requests but we can assure you that all Pre-Orders and website purchases receive the lowest available Certificate or Edition number that is available at the time of shipping.
What if I change my mind after I have made a Pre-Order and I no longer want it?
In most cases once a Pre-Order has been submitted it is locked in. We will offer a refund in exceptional circumstances or if we deem a product has taken too long to arrive or is likely to be cancelled. If you have any concerns please email to with your name and order number and we will endeavour to answer any questions you may have as soon as we possibly can.
Will I receive my Collectors Club discount on Pre-Orders?
Yes. If you’re a registered Collectors Club member then you will be eligible for the nominated discount on your purchase. Just remember to log in before you carry out the checkout process.
Will I receive free shipping with Pre-Orders?
If the product you have Pre-Ordered is over $150.00 then yes you will be eligible to receive our basic free shipping option.
Can I return a faulty or damaged Pre-Order?
You certainly can. If your pre-ordered product is faulty or damaged then you can send it back to us for a replacement (if one is available) or a full refund.
Can I make a Pre-Order and buy an In Stock item at the same time?
Yes you can, just add the products you want to purchase to your cart and proceed like any other transaction. The In Stock items will be sent by the next business day and your Pre-Order will be shipped at a later date once it has arrived in the Biante warehouse.

What does “In Stock” mean?
In Stock means a product listed on our website is currently available to purchase online.
What does “Pre-Order” mean?
A product listed under Pre-Order means that this product is a future release and can be secured before it is delivered as a pre-order so you don’t miss out on it. Pre-Orders are paid in full and receive priority release, shipping and a lower Certificate of Authenticity number. What does “Future Release” mean?
A product listed as a Future Release means that is has been announced and will be available to buy in the future, but with no set timeframe for delivery as that information isn’t currently available to us.
What does “Temporarily Out of Stock” mean?
A product listed as Temporarily Out of Stock means that is has been released as In Stock and the stock levels for that item have all been taken. It essentially means an item is currently sold out, but there may be a chance of more stock being added to the website soon.
What does “Out of Stock” mean?
A product listed as Out of Stock means that the product has been released as In Stock and has since been Sold Out. In most cases, particularly for Biante Model Cars products, once an item is listed as Out of Stock, it means that it is gone for good given that the majority of our products are produced in limited edition numbers.
What does “Development Approved” mean?
A product with a Development Approved status means that it has been announced to the market and is likely to be produced in the future.
What does “In Production” mean?
A product with an In Production status means that it has been announced to the market and is currently being produced at the factory and will likely be arriving in the coming months.
What does “In Transit” mean?
A product with an In Transit status means that production has been completed and the product is now being shipped to Australia. This means that delivery for this item is due in the coming weeks.
What does “Released” mean?
A product with a Released status means that the product has arrived and has been made available to purchase from our website and in stores. A released product may have an “Availability Status” of In Stock, Temporarily Out of Stock or Sold Out depending on current stock availability.

What are the terms and conditions of your "Free Shipping for Orders Over $150.00" policy?
This promotion is valid for Australian residents only. If you're an Australian resident, and your order exceeds $150.00 then you will receive free basic shipping. Unfortunately this offer isn't available to our international customers due to the higher postage expenses. International customers can however join our Collectors Club and receive a 10% discount on purchases.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Products purchased online through the Biante website can be paid for using your credit card or through Pay Pal.
Are there any hidden fees if I use my Credit Card or Pay Pal?
Not from Biante, the amount stated on checkout is the amount that we will charge. We’re can’t be held responsible for any hidden bank fees associated with your banking provider.
Do you accept offline payments?
Unfortunately we no longer accept offline payments due to the lack of demand and the resources required to accept them.
Can I pay for my order by direct deposit?
Unfortunately we no longer accept direct deposit payments.
Can I fax my credit card details?
No, we cannot accept this form of payment and you should never fax your full credit card information for security reasons.
Is the Biante website secure?
Yes this is a secured website. Your payment information is invisible to everyone and all transactions are carried out automatically so your personal and credit card information is completely secure.

What’s the difference between a “Pre-Order” and a regular “In Stock” website order?
In terms of the transaction process, nothing, both pre-orders and in stock orders a paid in full in order to complete the transaction. The main difference is a Pre-Order is made to secure a future release and will be shipped in the future when it arrives in our warehouse. An In Stock purchase is an item currently in our warehouse and will be dispatched to you on the following business day.
Can I return a product?
If your product is damaged during transit or you’re unhappy with your purchase then we will gladly provide a full refund. We operate on a 30 day money back guarantee. Contact us if you have any concerns or issues with your purchase and we will be more than happy to assist.
What happens if I have been sent the wrong product?
We only pick and send what products are listed on our picking slip so please carefully review your order to ensure it is correct before completing the checkout process. In the event that a wrong product is received, simply return it in its original condition and we will provide a full refund.
How do I place an order online?
Our new website offers a conclusive search function so you should be able to find the products you want if they’re available. You can use these search functions from numerous areas of the website; the top search bar in the right hand corner of the website or visit the shop link which will provide you with more in depth search functionality. If your search returns no results then try some different keywords, if this doesn’t work then the product you’re searching for may not be available unfortunately. Our website contains many products, not all of which are currently available In Stock because they are scheduled to be released in the future. An item listed as In Stock can be purchased and dispatched immediately so if the product is listed as In Stock then add your desired quantity you wish to buy to your cart and then follow the prompts to finalise your payment and shipping details. A Pre-Order is a future release that you can pay for and secure now with it set to be shipped at a later date when it arrives in our warehouse. How do I ensure that I’m only receiving what I want when I order?
Ensure your cart is empty before you begin shopping and review the items in your cart during the checkout process before you submit your payment.
Sometimes the images of the models on your website are different from your advertising, why?
Generally when we announce a new model, the sample we use and photograph is of a prototype model. A prototype may feature differences and imperfections that we fix in between receiving that and going ahead with production. Once we receive a prototype model, we update the images to the correct sample, hence the reason why sometimes you can spot the differences.
What is the best way to order models from the Biante website?
When you wish to order multiple cars from the website we request that you please place only one order. Instead of adding one item to your cart and submitting the order then adding another item to your cart and submitting that order we request that you first add each item you wish to purchase to your cart then proceed through the ordering process and submit your order in full. By doing this, your shipping fees are calculated all at once and your full order will be dispatched in the same delivery.
Can I order multiples of any one item?
Yes, you are permitted to purchase more than one of any item where permitted and stock is available. Biante hold the right to review and adjust any order that they deem to be excessive or incorrect for reasons not limited to: - Quantity for any one item exceeds that for which would normally be purchased for ones own personal use. - Customer has received or placed orders for the same product other than the one currently being reviewed. - Biante hold the right to refuse sale for self known reasons.
